A Complete Logo & Branding revamp for local Leamington Gym

Leamington Health Club (formerly Core Gym) partnered with Bear Design Studio in Leamington Spa to deliver a full rebrand, evolving the business into a more inclusive, modern and recognisable health and fitness brand.

The objective was to move away from the traditional “hardcore gym” aesthetic and create a brand that felt more welcoming, balanced and accessible, while still retaining strength and credibility within the fitness space across Leamington Spa and Warwickshire.

We delivered a complete rebrand including logo design, brand identity development and full brand guidelines, alongside ongoing support across both digital and offline applications.

The Challenge

Core Gym had built a strong local reputation in Leamington Spa, but the existing brand felt too narrow in its appeal and didn’t reflect the inclusive, community-driven environment the business had grown into.

The challenge was to:

  • Transition from Core Gym to Leamington Health Club (LHC)

  • Create a more inclusive and approachable brand identity

  • Maintain strength and credibility within the fitness space

  • Develop a logo that was simple, recognisable and scalable across all touchpoints

Jens, the owner, also wanted to introduce an eclipse-inspired element into the branding to represent balance, transformation and continuous progress – a visual nod to the idea that health and fitness is an ongoing journey, not a fixed destination.

The Solution

Logo Design & Brand Identity

We developed a refined logo design centred around the LHC identity, incorporating a subtle eclipse effect to create a distinctive and meaningful visual mark.

  • Designed a clean, modern LHC logo that feels strong yet approachable

  • Introduced an eclipse motif to represent balance, movement and progression

  • Created a softer, more inclusive visual tone while maintaining brand authority

  • Ensured the logo works across signage, apparel, digital platforms and print

Brand Guidelines

To ensure consistency, we developed a full set of brand guidelines, covering:

  • Colour palette and typography system

  • Logo usage and variations

  • Visual direction and layout principles

  • Application across online and offline materials

This provided a clear framework for the brand moving forward, ensuring everything stays aligned as the business grows.
